the two tracks
The Two Tracks are based out of Sheridan, Wyoming, at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains. From rock’n roll to country, from bluegrass to folk, the music is expertly crafted, addictive Americana with a Wyoming touch. Their newly released debut album, selected from years of songwriting, features original tracks by Julie Szewc on guitar/vocals.
“Their eponymous debut album finds them creating an instant connection. Julie Szewc is one of the main reasons why; an effusive vocalist, she turns nearly every song into a moment worth savouring…in truth there’s not a single offering here that doesn’t engage the listener practically from the get go.” – Lee Zimmerman, No Depression
The band is relatively new, originally forming in 2014, with each member bringing their experience and talents from other projects to create The Two Tracks. They have spent many a day on the road since then, and continue to tour promoting their new debut album, which has received accolades by top reviewers and radio. They will be in the studio again this fall to record their second album. Julie is joined by David Huebner on cello, electric guitar, and vocals, Fred Serna on drums/percussion, and Russell Smith on upright bass. Guests on their album include legendary Nashville pedal steel guitarist Bruce Bouton (Garth Brooks).
”The Two Tracks record rural warmth into the album as the four-piece, infusing their tunes with a feel for the open spaces of The West.” – The Alternate Root
